Printing remotely to a localy attached printer

G

Giorgi

Hello,

I have one question about how to printing remotely from windows server 2003
to locally attached printer.

So, i have an HP Deskjet 5900 series printer installed on my windows xp pro.
While, from remote desktop connection, i access remote server (server 2003)
from my pc .
Well i strongly need to print any documents existing on that remote server
to locally attached printer (HP Deskjet 5900 series) on my PC.

I've try lot of documentation to how to do that. But this issue still persist.

In remote desktop connection window, in options tab, and in local resources
tab i've checked- printers under local devices and resources, but on remote
server, in printers directory no printers are shown.

Somehow, i've tested this one on remote windows XP pro (not on the server)
and all was worked fine, from remote xp pro i was found my locally attached
printer on my PC.

I will assume the Server 2003 machine is x86. If it is x64 that would
explain this but it can be done.

Look in the system eventlog on the Server 2003 machine for Terminal Server
event 1111, this would indicate the print driver did not install on the
server.

Also verify that print devices are allowed for TS clients on the server in
TS configuration. Just make sure Window printer mapping is not disabled.
