printing garbage as PDF

My file is a Word 2003 Windows XP saved as an Acrobat 8.0 PDF using Acrobat
distiller. (It's a complex file with lots of equations. ) When printing a web
page of text only, it prints fine on my HP LaserJet 6MP, but prints gibberish
on another printer, a HP Laserjet 5MP.
 
Sounds like a printer driver issue. dtry updatin gt ehdriver for that 5MP
with a more current driver for that model. I have had same experience when a
printer was installed using teh driver for a different model.
