printing from dos programs

How do I set up a printer for dos programs to print to in Windows 2000 pro? I have a TCP port and a USB port and I perfer to use the USB port.

Dos applications cannot directly print neither to TCP, nor to USB ports.

You can try to apply some tricks to redirect the LPT output to that kind of
ports (search for the "NET USE" command), however you will not be able to
print to Windows-only printers (more and more USB printers nowadays are
Win-only) and to printers not directly supported by your DOS app.

Alternatively, you can choose to try a software specifically designed to
solve this kind of problems, like Printfil.
