printing from DOS in windows XP

Hi,

When I issue the print command at command prompt in
windows XP, it corrupt all the printer drivers. The
command: dir > rpt1. This message shown:

Spooler SubSystem App has ecountered a problem and needs
to closed. I search the knowleage base and can't get the
solutions.

I'm using the NEC P3300, HP Laser Jet4 and Epson LQ-300.
Any solutions for it?
