Dot Matix Printing in XP

Ok, We've just moved from Windows 98SE to XP Pro. My accounting program prints invoices/sales orders etc. on an EPSON LQ-870 dot matrix printer. My printing now is UNUSUALLY SLOW. I'm told it is because the dot matrix is DOS based printing and now I'm using Windows drivers w/XP, therefore it is more of a "graphics" type printing. Are there any fixes to speed up my printing again? Beside switching to laser forms?

Try using the Generic Text driver, there is a bit more info on it on my site
at http://www.frogmorecs.com/arts/using_the_generic_driver.html you will
find it is a lot faster then the Epson driver.
