printing error

I have a client that installed a critical update today, now while trying to
print from internet explorer using the HP 4300 dtn (network printer)he gets a
function address error. He is using Win 2000 and even if you try to view the
properties of the printer the error pops up. The error is as follows: funtion
address error 0x78027831...protection fault...some properties may not be
displayed. This errors launches the driver wizard to install the driver. Done
that, doesn't make a difference.

Any ideas

1. set the printqueue to a other Driver (Best is a complet
different Driver >> after them the registry key's are
different and new
2. go to Server properties, Drivers and remove the driver
3. go from PCL to PS or from PS to PCL
