thanks sonia, i have powerpoint. but i received the file
in slide show format. there is no option to print - does
any one know how to - the action buttons don't rely help
either.

As I said, open PowerPoint and then go to File > Open and locate the
presentation file and open it. Then you can go to File > Print. If you have
not saved the file from the email to your hard drive, do that first.

There is nothing magic about a .PPS file except that the "S" tells Windows to
tell PowerPoint to open it in Slide Show mode if it is double clicked. If you
open it from within PowerPoint it's just a normal presentation.

Have you tried opening PowerPoint first rather than double-clicking on
the file? If you have PowerPoint open, you can choose Open from the File
menu, and it will open in Normal View, not Slide Show View.

Just change the extension from .PPS to .PPT, then open it
like a normal file.

You don't even need to change the extension. Open PowerPoint and then open the
..PPS file.
