Printing across wireless

Hi.

I have 24 wireless laptops, 1 server and a DEll wireless Access point.
I also have a printer connected to the server. The server is linked to the
access point via a cross-over cable.
The PCs can easily see the server shared drives but are having real problems
with the printer. If they can connect to it, via con2prt, they cannot get
into the properties screen and when they try and print the application they
are printing from just exits. Any ideas?

What kind of printer?

Can the clients connect using the GUI interface? Does the printer work if
they connect to it with the GUI instead of con2prt?

Iv'e tried both a Kyocera FX1920 and an HP LJ2100

When I try to conect through the GUI the printer appears in the printer
folder but the same, exitting the software, problem occurs.

sounds like you don't have enough bandwidth

easy test. cross connect a pc instead of the AP. Can you print? If
so consider a topology upgrade.

How are you installing the drivers on the remote computer? From the look of
it this printer requires fairly specialized drivers.

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
