Printers prob. with office 2003

I just installed office 2003 on my laptop yesterday, and
now cannot access my network printers. I can access the
network, but the printers do not show up, nor will it let
me add a printer. I get the message "operation cannot be
completed"

Office stopped the spooler during the install and failed to restart it.
