Printers and Faxes Box

I'm using Windows XP SP2 and an HP Laserjet 4250PS. When I go to Start |
Settings | Printers and Faxes, there is a very long delay before the Printers
and Faxes box appears. It can be up to a minute. Any advice would be great.

A overclogged, overloaded and overburdened system. It needs cleaning.
It very likely has too many apps loading at startup robbing you of your
system resources. Start here:
Start>Run>type MSCONFIG and click OK>click the Startup tab
Look at all the items you have checked/abled at startup, you can probably
uncheck/disable more than half of them, except your anti-virus app.
Click Apply and Close. Reboot. Now delete your cookies, on and offline
Temporary Internet files, MRUs (most recently used) files and history.
Also set your History to no more than 1 week. If you do not know how to
access these settings, respond to this post. Empty Recycle Bin.
Most can be done in (IE) Internet Explorer>Tools>Internet Options
Next: Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup

I deleted a disabled Dymo label printer and the problem went away. I
appreciate your response nonetheless.

Looks like I was correct about overloaded and overburdened system.
