Printer voice nuisance

I use a Lexmark Z715 inkjet printer, and since upgrading to Office 2007 this
printer shouts at me when starting a print job, then again when it is
finished. I can not find a way to turn this voice message off.

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP 2 on my computer, and it seems to be working
very well in all respects.

My SoundBlaster system seems to be working very well in all respects other
than this. Does anyone have any idea as to how I might get the printer to
just shut up and do its work without this annoying voice message?

Thanks, Gordon

Try posting in an Office news group.

Someone there may have come across the problem and resolved it.

Set your OE news server to msnews.microsoft.com then see a list of available

Have you asked Lexmark?

Do the opposite of what they suggest here:

Thanks, Joe, this worked! I have been trying to locate this sound control
function all week but it was buried so deep that I never found it.

Great news! Thanks for reporting your success.
