Printer trouble

I have a printer whose IP address continuously is getting mapped to
the MAC Address of our WAP. If I put a static entry in, i can hit the
printer fine (from that PC) but if I do not it pings successfully
once, then it is sending to the WAP for some reason.

arp -a shows the MAC of the WAP for the printer. the WAP is plugged
into the same switch as the WAP.

If I do an arp -s and add it statically everything works fine.
Nothing has changed that i am aware of and this setup has been set for
a year now.

Any thoughts?

Printers should have static IP.

The printer does have a static IP. The problem is that for some
reason the arp table on my user's PCs are mapping the IP address to
the MAC address of the wireless Access Point (WAP).
