In Service Pack 2, the Windows Firewall is automatically enabled. If you
are not using a third-party firewall, make sure that File & Printer
Sharing is enabled in the Windows Firewall under the Exceptions tab
(Control Panel>Windows Firewall). If you are using a third-party
firewall, disable the Windows Firewall and make sure you've added your
lan IP range in that firewall's settings as Trusted.

All firewalls have been turned off... Are all printers able to share?

I'm confused about what you are asking me. What do you mean "are all
printers able to share"? Do you mean can some printers not be shared?
Better yet, why not tell us what your make/model printer is and how it
is connected to the network? Locally to a pc via USB or parallel port?
To a print server? With a built-in NIC connected directly to an
ethernet network? Wirelessly?

I am making this enquiry on behalf of a friend's system... I will find out
the spec and report back... sorry to have been so vague.
