I have recently purchased a Barton XP-2600 which does not
seem to recognize my printer (lexmark 1020). I have
updated the driver (online) for windows xp, but still I
am unable to print. Can anyone help me out with this
problem???

If the printer is supported in XP and you have XP drivers and you have
installed the printer per the manufacturers instructions then it should be
working. Try uninstalling the printer and starting over as if you were
installing it for the first time.

Uninstall and reinstall... since it's a Lexmark, use the instructions at
Bruce Sanderson's webiste... Lexmarks are not the easiest of printers to get
uninstalled.

Disconnect printer from PC....

After the cleanup, reboot.

Download a new set of drivers from the Lexmark website at www.lexmark.com.
Install the software. Do NOT reconnect the printer until the software tells
you to do so.
