Printer problem

I am using windows xp sp1. I have one ricoh aficio 2015 multi function
network printer. I delete the printer from settings>> printer & faxes, but it
is showing me printer with deleting status. I unable to permnantely delete
printer.

Could be that the Printer cache has print items queued up. One possible
solution is to stop the Print Spool service & then attempt to remove the
printer.
To modify a Service Start/operating Mode:
Click Start, Run (Type) Services.Msc [Enter]
Locate the Service in the listing, Right Click, Left Click Properties and
press the "Stop" button. Simply reverse process or Reboot after removing
the printer.
