If the popup come from some application, you will need to ask the vendor of
the application for the solution. If the popup is generated through the
print provider, there is a registry entry to suppress popups
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Providers\RetryPopup
set this to 0 (default on Win2k is 1)
restart the spooler. If the popup goes away, then the call is coming
through the spooler
I have also disabled Enable bidirectional on the Ports tab to get rid of
these.
