I need a printer password to secure one of my printers.

Is there a way to password protect a home printer not on a network?

This is intended to keep others off one of the two printer connected to my
compute which has window xp= Dell Dm 8200 computer.

Get yourself System Mechanic from Iolo.
You can hide the printers icons, prevent access to printers control panel,
etc...

CHANGE THE DEFAULT SETTINGS SO THAT ONE IS NOT THE DEFAULT PRINTER, THEN
IT WON'T PRINT. (I THINK).(I hate small type like this).
