Printer lost and can not add a printer

After having cable high speed access installed, all my
printers are gone. If I try to add a printer with the
printer wizard, I get an error message that "operation
could not be completed" if I try to add the printer via
add new hardware wizard, after installing the driver I
get a message that there was a problem "The RPC Server is
unavailable."
