Andrew

When i try to add a printer in windows 2000 i get an empty
list and the printers i have previously installed
(including the fax driver) are not listed. There is a
knowledge base article (Microsoft Knowledge Base Article -
271248) and i have followed the instructions in it but
still it does not work. Can anyone help??

Thank you

The spooler is not running or a dependency service (RPC Service) did not
start. There several reasons, usually failing print drivers. If you get an
error when you click the Wizard follow the link that best fits.

I had a very similar problem. I solved it by uninstalling
a few programs (I uninstalled them at the same time so I
don't know for sure which was the culprit but I assume it
was the firewall) Mcaffe Firewall, Kaaza Lite, and Ad-
Aware.
