Printer Issues

When I double click on the add printer icon I am getting
the message "Printer operation can not continue due to
lack of resources. The print sub system is unavailable."
How can I resolve this issue???? Also I have installed
Windows 2000. I have a compaq IJ 750, however, everytime
I start my system it is adding the Compaq IJ750 as a
Lexmark 4099??? Please help!!!!!

The print spooler service is not running, you need to restart it then find
out what is causing it to fail. Could be viruses messing with the RPC
service, bad or corrupted printer drivers.
