I am having exactly the same problem!! I took a windows
update and it totally tanked my computer. I have three
printers in my home office and can't print off from any
of them...tried to install original drivers which worked
until today and I get an error message that they
aren't "digitally approved" and I shouldn't install
them. HELP from anybody will be appreciated. WEndy

Well, I have the same problem, i.e., when I try to
install a printer, there is non to select from. I
used "have disk" button and let it search in the original
XP CD where I finally found the driver. Only issue is it
doesn't print. Installation went fine ...I can send the
test page, it shows up on the print monitor but the
printer isn't mving.
Maybe the procedure works for you.

Procdures may differ slightly bewen printers but generally speaking you
should remove all printer software via Control panel Add/Remove. Remove the
printer via Device manager. Disconnect the printer from the computer.
Install the printer software---this may be only the latest driver from the
manufaturers web site. Switch off the computer, reconnect the printer and
switch on. Windows should find and install the printer and driver
