I have Winxp SP2 and use a HP 895cse printer. This particular printer was
much faster when it was installed with win98. I cannot install the printer
driver from the cd that came with the printer, because winxp has its own
driver for this printer. My problem is the printer is much slower (I mean
much slower) using the driver on winxp. Is there any way to bypass, so to
speak, the winxp driver and then install the driver from the cd that came
with the printer? Or is there another way to speed up this printer? Come
on; I know there is a computer and printer expert out there somewhere that
can help me; I want to hear from you. Thank you. Mahlon

Unfortunately - you have an older printer. Circa 1998/99 - maybe 2000 was
when that printer was first released?

HP does have a FAQ about 'slow printing' for your printer:

Although you have to use the Windows XP driver - it does seem HP has some
newer software for you to try:
