Printer disappeared

My installed and completely functioning HP 1200 printer
disappeared from my printer list. I can not print from
any program. I attempted to print from notepad and I
get "mscms.dll is not a valid windows image". I tried to
reinstall the printer but I got errors. I went to the
command prompt and I was able to eject a page from the
printer using "copy con lpt1" "showpage". Help
