Printer compatibility issue

I have Vista Home Premium and an HP Business 1000 inkjet printer. When I try
to print a page with text, photos, lines and filled boxes, the lines and
filled boxes don't print. The result is the same whether I'm printing from my
dtp program (Pagemaker) or Word. Using an identical printer and the same
software on my husband's computer, it works perfectly. The only difference is
that he's using XP. Any ideas how I can fix this problem? (Besides printing
it on his printer every time).

I print a lot from Photoshop and the web, and it prints everything else
perfectly ok.

It sounds like you didn't do this:

"Installing the Print Driver Located in Microsoft Windows Vista
Operating System" - article on HP's website (TinyURLed):
