Printer Compability with Windows XP Professional

I have recently cleaned up and reactivated my Canon
MultiPASS C300 printer. When trying to download the
drivers from the disc, I receive a message telling me
that the drivers fail to load. After checking the
hardware compatability page it appears that this printer
is not compatible.

Anyone have any way around this short of buying another
printer?
