Printer Cartridges

How can you prolong the life of your printer cartridges. I fine mind dry out long before I think they should. Since I don't do a lot of printing, maybe this is the problem.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

The advice I have got is to place a damp rag in an open polythene bag and put that in the region where the cartridges are held, then put the cover own, when the printer is not in use.

What kind of printer do you have? How often do you print? How often do you
need to replace cartridges? In general you should always turn the printer off
with its power switch and keep it plugged into a live outlet, not switched from
a power strip. Do not put the printer in an area that will be subject to
direct sunlight or temperature extremes. Depending on the printer you may
need to inspect the capping area to make sure that there are no debris or dried
ink preventing a good cap seal.

It might be helpful to mention which brand of printer you are using.
The technologies differ and some cartridegs require different handling
than others.
