printer always prints in colour

Running XP and I would like the printer to always print in black not in
colour , unless I change it to colour. At the moment it is the other way
round . Help plse

Check how you have the printer setup in Windows XP - right click on the
printer and select properties - one of the tabs will have a selection to
pick "black & white" or "color" as the default print mode.

When the printer wizard runs,select printing prefrences,edit the printing
properties.
