Printed document goes to nirvana

Hi

Sorry to disturb you with another printing issue...

I have a client (WinXP) connecting to my TS (Win2000 sp4).
His printer (HP LaserJet 1000 on USB) is properly
redirected. I had to set the FilterQueueType
Registrysetting before, but now it works.

When he prints I can see the document passing the TS
spooler.
The client sees the document in his local
spooler "printing redirected document ...".
After a few seconds the document disappears just like it
was printed... but it wasn't. The Printer just stays quiet!

When he prints a document from local MSWord the printer
prints just fine.

Any Idea?!

We had the same problem 3 weeks ago. We called HP. It
turns out that host base printers such as the LaserJet
1000 are not supported throught terminal server. You need
a PCL printer like the HP LaserJet 1200 or 1300. We
purchased a 1300 and now everything works as it should.

Good luck,

Try changing the printer drivers used for this printer on
the terminal server.

Thank you guys for the quick responses

I think David may be right. I tried several printer
drivers on TS-side (HP LaserJet 4, etc.) and it never
worked properly.

We now use a HP LaserJet 6P and everything works just fine.
