print to file

When using print to file the printer prints to file , but
I am unable to open the file that it prints. Anybody have
any idea what might be causing this? It tells me it
doesn't know what program created it, therefore it is
unable to open it.
 
Print to File creates a PostScript file that is typically
used for professional printing services. You can open
this file in programs such as Acrobat Distiller.
