Print spooler stopping at random intervals

Our 2000 server's print spooler is stopping at random
intervals throughout the day, sometimes as many as 4-6
times a day. We have Windows 2000 sp3 loaded and all the
latest hotfixes and are using HP Jet direct print servers.
Any ideas as to what causes this? We will load sp4 after
testing with our server applications are complete.

Same problem here,
many of our printer are LexMark & HP, suspect HP printer
driver causing problem, so we delete all HP printer,
uninstall all HP driver, install SP4, but still the same.
