Print Spooler Keeps Refreshing and Scrolling Up

We are running Windows SBS 2003 as our domain controller with Windows
XP clients and one 2000 server. When you double click on a printer from
one of the XP clients to view the spooler it says on the top next to
the name of the printer "Refreshing". Once it actually opens up all the
spooled/printed jobs, the message near the computer name "Refreshing"
disappears. I then scroll down to view a print job that I would like to
cancel or pause however the screen then says "Refreshing" and
refreshes the page to the top. It keeps refreshing every five seconds
and scrolls back to the top. This makes it very hard to manage print
jobs when you only have five seconds. This only occurs on the XP
clients and not on our 2003 or 2000 server. Does anyone know how to
stop XP from refreshing the spooler?
