Print Spooler is preventing hibernation

Peter

When I attempt hibernation I get the error message

System Hibernation Failed
The service 'Print Spooler' is preventing the machine from entering
hibernation. Try stopping this service and try again.

Sure enough if I stop the service I can hibernate. How do I fix the problem?

Sorry folks, I had a pending print job on an installed but disconnected
printer. For some reason this wasn't showing up when I checked for it.

I found that I had a print job in the "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer" 'printer' that I have no idea how it got there, and wasn't showing as an active print job until I went into that printer and saw it. Ince deleted the problem was resolved...
