Print spooler hangs

David

Not sure this is a Terminal Services issue or not but.....
I have 20 users that login to our Win 2K Server via terminal services. About
once a week, I have to restart the print spooler or restart the server.
Connection times become slow and to logon takes up to 30 seconds. This is
usually fixed by restarting the print spooler. There are other times where
print jobs will just start piling up on our main printer. The only way to
get them to print is to restart the server. I can't even delete jobs from
the queue.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
-David

There are a lot of issues with printing in TS. Make sure that the drivers
used are certified by MS. Also try to minimize the amount of print drivers
installed.

You may also want to take a look at a third party printing solution such as
Simplify Printing from triCerat.
