Print Server for Canon i850

I thought this would be easy but so far I've had problems with the few print
servers I have tried and there are too many more to randomly choose from. Can
someone recommend an inexpensive wired print server that supports:

Canon i850
IPP
Bidirectional mode for printer status

It can be either USB or Parallel. I'd prefer USB but so far none of the USB PS's
have worked at all with the i850. Single or multiple ports OK. Thanks.

Have you contacted Canon tech support for any information or what
they may recommend?

No, not yet. I may resort to that if I don't get any recommendations here.

And a correction to my original post, I was able to print using the Hawking
HWPS12UG with both parallel and usb, but neither are bidirectional.

Check out this model from Keyspan, claims to support bidirectional
printing including the return of messages such as "low ink","out of
paper".
