How can I print my screen in XP?

Hit print screen button then go to
start/programs/accesories/paint when paint opens up go to
top edit on drop down menu click paste you should then see
you screen shot go to file at top to print or save as (to
save in your files pictures etc) Hope this helps.

Hi,

Try either CTRL+Print screen or ALT+Print Screen, then
paste them into a Word document (if you have word) or any
other software that handles pictures, then print from
there. I can't remember off the top of my head if my
Print Screen key works without using CTRL or ALT, or if it
works only by using software such as Screen Print Gold (I
think that's the name). I'm not at my XP machine right
now.

Each machine can be set up differently and you'll just
have to try both but, one copies only the active screen,
the other copies the entire screen to the clipboard.
Although, I have seen machines where CTRL+Print screen
and ALT+Print screen both do the same exact thing. How to
change this, I don't know.

Greetings --

Pressing the <PrtScn> key copies the entire display to the
clipboard. Pressing <ALT>+<PrtScn> copies only the active Window to
the clipboard. To view the screen capture, open a graphics program,
such as MS Paint, and press <CTRL>+V. This will paste the contents of
the clipboard (your screenshot) into the open file, and allow you to
view it or save it as a file for later use.
