Help! I'm trying to print out an important paper and it
comes out looking nothing like it does on screen. It
looks like code. lotd of c, v, y, and o and it's very
faded. What's going on? Everything else comes out fine.

Give more details. It would help if we knew the program you were
using and the type of file. If you are viewing a file with a
program which does not render it properly, all the symbols embedded
in the document may not make the proper transition to paper. It
also would not hurt to tell us the printer you are using. If you
are trying to send a postscript file to a non-postscript printer,
the results may be multiple pages of text and gibberish.
