Hello,
I have develope the following problem on a long time
install of IE6. My symptoms are exactly as stated in this
knowledge base article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;329134&Product=ie600
That is to say:
SYMPTOMS
I experience the following symptoms:
When you click Print or Print Preview on the File menu or
click Find on the Edit menu in Internet Explorer, the Print
and Edit dialog boxes do not appear.
You cannot open a link to a Web page in a new window.
You cannot search for files when you click Start, and then
select Search.
You receive the following error message when you click
double-clickComponent services in Administrative Tools in
Control Panel:
The server catalog version is not supported. The catalog is
either newer or older than this application and a common
version for communication does not exist.
HOWEVER:
The listed fix for windows 2000 systems, when applied to my
Windows XP pro system, do nothing to correct the problem.
PLEASE HELP!
(Note: I ran the IE6 update, and SFC at boot up, no chnage.)
Thanks
TTFN
