Print Notifications Icon, System tray

I have several users who do not get the print notification icon in
their system tray beside the clock. Personally it would not bother me
but it drives them, and consequently me, wild. I'm not speaking of the
balloon that tells you your job was sent to such and such printer but
the actual printer icon that appears that you can double click on to
see the status of your print job. Other users with the same
configuration do get the notification.

Any ideas?

The Print and File sharing Firewall exemption needs to be enabled on the
client in order for the spooler on the server to send the data to the
client.

Thanks Alan,

Right you are. I'm not 100% sure why it worked as the firewall is
disabled for our desktops, but changing that setting definitely did the
trick. You just got two Admin Assistants off my back. Thanks!
