print multiple note pages per printed page

Hello,

Is there a way to tell Powerpoint to print multiple slide note pages per
8.5x11 sheet of printed paper? For example, could I print a miniature copy
of each slide and the corresponding slide notes for four different slides on
one 8.5x11 sheet in landscape mode?

As far as I can tell, Powerpoint only allows you to print one slide per
page. That seems so wasteful! Who wants to flip through your cheat notes
everytime you click to a new slide?

Thanks for your help.

Ed,

The only way (ok perhaps I can think of 1 other)..... I know of achieving
this is IF it's a feature of your printer driver.

When you print from powerpoint

file > print

click "properties" next to your printer

Then have a look through all the menus that are unique to your printer. Some
have options about print "x - up" or "fit x pages to y pages" or "scale to
fit" or your get the picture

The other way that might do it (i'm not sure if it can handle "notes"
pages).... is the powerpoint handout wizard addin

You can also PowerPoint's 'Send to word' option (under File -> Send To -> MS
Word) which can create a table of slide miniatures with notes beside them.
The major problem with this method is the very large size of the Word files.
You can, as another option, use my add-in to generate better results with
better file sizes. My add-in also lets you determine the size of the slide
miniatures (which lets you control how many slide miniatures will fit on a
page)

Hello Bill,

I just tried out your add-in. It works very nicely. However, I noticed
that all the formatting in my notes is stripped out. Is there any way to
tell it not to strip the formatting. I had set up bullet points and added
emphasis to certain words to make it easier to pick through the notes. All
that was removed making the notes just hard to read blocks of plain text. I
realize that I could go through and edit every set of notes in the word
file, but that would be a lot of redundant work.

If we can figure out how to preserve my formatting from the powerpoint
notes, I'll be ready to gladly pay the $20 cost of the add-in.

Thank you,

Ed Self

THE best tool for this job is FinePrint. (http://www.fineprint.com/)
This printer driver is an AWESOME paper saver. This program has so many
features that you really ought to have a look. I've been using it for
more than a year. There is NO add-in that matches it. What's more,
you can save $$ on all of your printing. I have no financial interest
in the software. Get it. It works great!

Printing 4-up or 8-up slides on a page can't be easier than this.
