prf...tmp

I have several prf...tmp files that are close in size with the PST
files that were created using roaming profiles with a Windows 2000
server. I'd like to open or restore one of those files. Does anyone
know how to do that?

I've tried renaming the tmp extension to prf and letting Outlook try to

import it but it just creates a blank profile and new pst file.

I've tried renaming it with a PST extension. Outlook complains and says

that I need to run scanpst which works but there's very little email
afterwards.

I can't find much on google about these files except deleting them and
a microsoft error which I don't want to do or doesn't apply.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Best to ask an Outlook newsgroup.
