Preview Pane

What virus or other side effects am I exposed to by using
the Preview Pane option in Outlook? I have it set so that
emails in the Preview Pane are not automatically marked as
read, however, the fact that the graphics and data are
opened to display in the Preview Pane leads me to believe
there is exposure to viruses, SPAM'ers, etc.

what version of outlook? Ol98 is the least safe - it's better to use Chilton
preview with ol98 and it doesn't allow web bugs since it doesn't render
html.

do you have all of the office, windows and IE patches installed? if so, you
are very safe from all except web bugs.. Chilton preview works on ol2002 and
lower.
