Preventing OoO reply to messages with a specific E-mail address?

Add an exception rule to the OOA.

I saw the "Advanced" rules, but none of the things they do seem to apply. You
can "Alert with", "Delete", "Move to", "Copy to", "Forward", "Reply with", do
a "Custom" rule (Where what that custom thing you're doing isn't really
apparant), and also a "Do not process subsequent rules" which forces you to
specify a rule.

I hate to be dense, but I was sort of hoping for a box that says; "Don't
reply"....

What version of outlook? Outlook 2007 can reply only to people in your
address book so you don't need rules - or you can use rules to send specific
replies to specific people. Both Outlook 2003 and 2007 (the only versions I
have handy) have a from field at the top of the OOF dialog where you'd enter
the from address the rule applies to.

The admin can set up the exchange server (all versions) not to send replies
to certain domains (or block from the certain domains, allowing to all
others).

An addendum:

I made an out of office rule that said to move the mail message from a
person to a folder. It did perform the move, but sent the OoO notification
anyway.

To me the rules just don't seem to apply to whether or not you want a reply
sent.

One more addendum:

Blocking a domain isn't a solution either since we *do* want to send them
normal mail. The ability to select who does and does not get OoO messages
must include internal people as well so setting up the exchange server to
bloclk replies to certian domains wouldn't work for us.

Enter the address in the From field. Check "Do not process sunsequient
rules". Check "Alert with" and click Action. Check "Play". Choose a
sound. Click OK. Now click Advanced and check the box "Only items that do
not match these conditions". Click OK, then OK. You now have an Out of
Office rule that will respons to everyone EXCEPT the From you've specified.
Add more addresses to that From if you want OOA to ignore more than one
address.
