Preventing Executalbes running from USB

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any software, or way, to prevent a file with a certain
extention to be run from the device.

At our school we have students who can run executables from a USB stick, and
Bin files as well....

I was wanting some software which would prevent them from being able to do
this. I don't mind if the students copy the files onto the network hard
drive. We can monitor it from here.

Hi Robert,
You don't need any software if you have a Platform like XP pro, you can set
a GPO that only you can install such a software and the rest of users denied
such a privileges.
