Preserve user profile changing from workgroup to domain

I have 6 users in 2 workgroups that will be added to a Windows 2000 domain.
All are administrators on their PCs now, but will not be administrators on
the domain. I want to preserve their local profiles so they will see their
documents, etc., when they log on as domain users. What is the best way to
do this? Thanks.

After they log in once to the domain using their logins, and log out, you
can log in as an admin and copy the local user account's profile to the
domain account profile in control panel | system.

Thanks for the response. Can you explain further? When I go to Control
Panel/System, I get the dialog with the computer properties - no place to
copy anything. What am I missing?
