My friend sent me this power point presentation with a file extension of .pps
and my power point cant run the file. How do I fix this problem?

What version of Powerpoint and Windows do you have? Do you know
what version of Powerpoint was used to create the .pps file?
What happens when you try to open the .pps file? If you get an
error message, please quote it exactly and completely.

Have you installed SP2 for Office?

Some presentations do not open until this critical update is installed. In
PowerPoint and when connected to the internet, click Help => Check for
updates.

My powerpoint is the 2002 edition. The error message I get when I try to open
this file is "PowerPoint can't read C:\Documents and Settings\Ira
James\Desktop\SOMETHINGBOTHERINGYOU.pps"

Still didn't work..
I'll try to install the SP2 but I don't know which one I should download.
There's no SP2 in the site that you gave me sir Bill.

Open PowerPoint and click on Help, select check for updates. PowerPoint will
find the correct one.
