We have several new IBM T40 laptops that are running Windows XP. All of the laptops are taking a couple minutes to boot while "preparing network connections." The temporary fix we've found is to disable the built in wireless network adapter within the device manager. There are wireless networks (not ours) within range at our office. Also, we have turned off the wireless at the software level, but this doesn't seem to help us at startup. Alternatives to disabling our hardware?
