PPViewer 2003 vs. PowerPointViewer 2207

Does anyone have an alternate link to a working PowerPoint Viewer 2007?

I have the one below for ppviewer 2003. This is only a 1.9 MB download
and seems to work perfectly... except it may not work for MS Office 2007
documents.

And then I have this link for PowerPoint Viewer 2007. It is a 25.8 MB
download. In addition to the huge size, it seems buggy. In particular,
all round bullets have either "10" or "IO" inside of them - so bullets
look like the 10 pool ball.

Hello Roger,

Do not forget that office 2007 is based on a new way of programming, that
is more complex then the older versions. Also the viewer is made compatible
for the older office versions. Think that will be the reason for the bigger
size.

PowerPoint 2007 Viewer supports the new XML formats that most Office
PowerPoint 2007 and Office 2007 installations default to. So its recommended
you use the latest version.

I would prefer to use the 2007 version if it were backward compatible,
but what should be displayed as solid round bullets look like the #10
pool ball.

My second choice would be to install both versions but this is not an
option as the 2007 version replaces the 2003 version.

Because the newer version is more than 10 times larger and doesn't work
as well as the older version, my third choice is to stick with 2003 and
tell our guest presenters to do the same.

The PowerPoint 2003 Viewer does not support the new XML formats, so you are
going to be in a sticky issue as more customers deploy 2007 and some don't.
The best recommendation is to move to the 2007 viewer, you getting the best
of both worlds.
