PPV 2007 on XP SP3 can't see images in pps files

Hi all

Subject says it all. The *.pps have been prepared on a Mac, no particulars
of software used available. I can see about 75% of the images but not the
rest - only the empty frame with the "not found" icon. This applies in the
same way to my "ancient" desktop as well as a recent laptop.

PPV 2007 is version 12.0.6211.1000. I tried to install
powerpointviewer2007sp1-kb937158-fullfile-en-us.exe on top of it, but got
"There are no products affected by this package installed on this system".
kb937158 doesn't tell me anything helpful.

Is the problem due to the supplied pps files?

I'm guessing this is related to quicktime (even though you are not presented
with a error message)
