I am using SBC Yahoo DSL and everytime I start the
Connection Manager I get the "Connection Settings" window
and it says "Creating the PPPoE connection..." It takes
from 2 -3 minutes to make this connection and sometimes
it just stays there and the action never completes. The
folks at SBC say it is a Windows XP issue. Can anyone help

as you have a sbc dsl connection and are using their connection manager software, to get connected faster i would suggest that you go ahead and uninstall connection manager from add/ remove programs where you would find a listing for the same on your control panel then go network connections window and find the icons under broadband -- right click to create a shortcut of the icon on your deskto
next go to the desktop and cut the shortcut and paste it to the following locatio
C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Start Menu\Programs\startu

if the same dosent work call up sbc dsl support and hope you get an agent from India and ask him to help you set up your manual connection so that it comes up at startup but remember that you will need to click on the connect button once every time your start up so that you can get connecte

ps i work for sbc yahoo dsl suppor
