our CEO, makes alot of PP 2k7 documents, whenever she has one in
compatibility mode, and try to print to our Konica Minolta C350 color
copier it locks powerpoint. you open the printer icon and it shows
its spooling, but no file print size is listed. also if you cancel
the document it will just sit there, and you have to shut down
powerpoint illegaly.

if I save the document to 2k7 mode, no compatiblity prints just fine.

Any idea's? Also to note any compatible pp doc on any computer will
have this problem. of course that MFD unit is the only we have that
does color, no issues on the B/W units ether. I have the latest
drivers for the color unit as well.

thank you

In compatibility mode, PP2007 changes the newly formatted objects to an
image format. Each of these elements become a layer. Each layer, in some
printers, has to be printed as a full page of data. This makes for a lot of
data to be spooled to the printer, sometimes more than the network or
printer can handle.

I would try using one of the alternate driver configurations for your
printer, or just use native 2007.
